Tchaourou: imminent launch of the repressive phase against off-park loading starting August 17, 2026

As a preamble to this large-scale operation, the District Chief and the police commissioner held a final exchange and awareness meeting at the central bus station on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, with all stakeholders in the transport sector.

Organized in the presence of drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers (Zémidjans), and representatives of transport organizations, this information session aimed to remind everyone of the strict regulatory framework regarding mobility.

The authorities emphasized the legal obligation to carry out all loading and unloading operations exclusively within authorized bus stations.

In this regard, they recalled the harm caused by road incivility:

• Disruption of traffic and congestion;
• Anarchic occupation and encroachment on public property;
• Increased risk of accidents for the safety of users.

From this Monday, August 17, 2026, patrols and checks will be intensified across the entire district, and the penalties provided by the current regulations will be applied with full firmness against violators.
