Turkey: Victor Osimhen urged to leave Galatasaray
Former Nigerian international, Obinna Nsofor believes that Victor Osimhen should now move to a Champions League-contending club in order to continue his progression, despite his status as a leader at Galatasaray SK.

Victor Osimhen is once again at the heart of speculation about his future, as several voices rise to urge him to take a step forward in his career. A former Inter Milan striker who also played in the Premier League with West Ham United, Obinna Nsofor believes that the Nigerian international has exhausted the question with Galatasaray SK. Since arriving from the SSC Napoli, Osimhen has greatly contributed to the Istanbul club’s successes, including two consecutive Turkish league titles.
But according to Nsofor, the Nigerian attacker must now aim higher to reach his full potential, with persistent rumors sending him to European giants such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea FC or Manchester United FC. “Victor Osimhen has proven his value at Galatasaray. If he wants to become one of the best forwards in the world, he must play for a club capable of aiming for the Champions League”, Nsofor said on Brila, with remarks relayed on X.
The former Nigerian international nonetheless acknowledges the Turkish club’s status, while highlighting its limits on the European stage. “Galatasaray remains a great club, but among the teams capable of winning the Champions League, it is not among the favorites”, he added.
