Tam Sir proposes to Indira Baboke in Douala, she says yes

The proposal did not come out of nowhere. Tam Sir and Indira Baboke have known each other for several years and have previously collaborated. On the gospel track “Validé 1,” released in February 2025, Shazam credits Tam Sir with sound engineering, while Indira is credited with the lyrics and composition.

The Ivorian producer was also seen alongside Indira Baboke in Cameroon in June 2025, during her doctoral thesis defense in medicine. Their closeness was known within their artistic circles, although the couple had not widely publicized their relationship until now.

A proposal in the spotlight in Douala

The timing of the proposal amplified its impact. Tam Sir made his proposal during a musical evening in Douala, with Fally Ipupa present on stage. The images were quickly shared by entertainment accounts from Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

Indira Baboke, a prominent figure in the new generation of Cameroonian gospel, is also pursuing a medical career. Tam Sir has made a name for himself in Ivorian music as a producer, with the success of “Coup du Marteau,” which has become one of the most associated tracks with the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast.

The two artists have not publicly announced a wedding date at this stage. However, the proposal on September 11 marks their clearest statement about their relationship, following several musical collaborations and joint appearances.
