Patrice Talon announced in France for a meeting with the dioceses of the Celestial Church of Christ
Just a few days after his election as President of the Beninese Senate, Patrice Talon is announced in France on August 29. The former president of the Republic, now a facilitator of the reunification process of the Church of Celestial Christianity, is set to meet with the French dioceses in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine.

Patrice Talon is expected in France on Saturday, August 29, 2026, for a meeting with the French dioceses of the Church of Celestial Christianity (ECC). The former Beninese president, elected president of the Senate on August 6, is intervening this time as part of his mission as facilitator of the ECC reunification process. This information is confirmed by a correspondence from the Higher Council for Implementation (CSMO), dated August 7.
The meeting will take place at the Barbara Municipal Events Hall in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, in the Paris region. Patrice Talon is expected to be accompanied by a delegation from the CSMO, responsible for implementing the conclusions of the Higher Transition Council of the Church.
The meeting aims to present to the dioceses of France the main orientations adopted at the conclusion of the Higher Transition Council’s work. In its correspondence addressed to the “Dioceses of France,” the CSMO explains that the meeting will allow for “necessary clarifications on the modalities of their implementation” and promote “a constructive dialogue with all the Dioceses of France.”
The discussions will also address the future of the Church of Celestial Christianity, as well as the place and role of the French dioceses in the unity dynamics of the Church.
The Concerns of the Dioceses at the Heart of the Discussions
The meeting will not only be dedicated to presenting new orientations. The CSMO also intends to gather the reactions of the leaders and representatives of the French dioceses. The document therefore announces an opportunity to listen to “the observations, concerns, and proposals of the participants,” in a spirit of “communion, transparency, fraternal listening, and collaboration.”
This step comes as the reunification process of the Church of Celestial Christianity continues. Patrice Talon has been involved in this process for several months, aiming to bring together the different components of the Church.
Thus, the meeting on August 29 should allow the facilitator and the CSMO to present the progress of the process to the dioceses of France and to discuss with them the next steps.
