The former Senegalese international reacted angrily after two deals fell through in the final hours of the transfer window. Ismaïla Sarr had attracted interest from Liverpool, while Lamine Camara had initially agreed to join Chelsea before the Monaco club ultimately reversed its decision.

For Kamara, these situations highlight a deeper problem in the management of African players, where their wishes are sometimes relegated to the background during negotiations. “We need to move away from this logic that sometimes gives the impression that the African player is just a commodity: we buy them, we set their price, we negotiate their future, and too often, their wishes are put aside.,” he lamented.
