Juventus could lose Grabara for up to seven months
Kamil Grabara underwent reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee on Wednesday, September 23, just four days after sustaining the injury during training. Juventus announced the success of the procedure, which took place in Poland, but did not provide a timeline for his return to competitive action.
Italian media report that he could be sidelined for as long as seven months. The 27-year-old goalkeeper will therefore miss the start of the Nations League with Poland, who will host Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday before traveling to Sweden on Monday.
Grabara had just played his first match for Juventus. On loan from Wolfsburg since late August, he provided an assist and was named man of the match in the 5-0 victory against NEC Nijmegen in the Europa League on September 17.
The Turin club stated that his rehabilitation program will begin in the coming days. Reuters reports that Juventus is closing in on Brazilian goalkeeper Neto, 37, who previously played in Turin from 2015 to 2017.
