In Benin, 30 spots available to learn fashion, beauty, and batik
Thirty spots are available in Benin for the new edition of the program “They Empower Themselves,” aimed at women aged 16 to 35. Led by L’Envol, the initiative combines creative learning with foundational marketing skills, with a start date set for September 2026.

The program covers fashion and accessories, dyeing, batik, bogolan, as well as beauty and aesthetics. Participants will learn to create bags, pouches, bracelets, and textile pieces, according to information released by the organizer.
The training is described as hands-on. In addition to crafting items, the program includes a component focused on the creation and sale of the products. The goal is to connect the skills acquired with activities that can generate income.
This approach is part of a craft sector where marketing remains a central challenge. During the Regional Craft Fair in Nikki, held in August, the Beninese ministry responsible for SMEs brought together 75 exhibitors to promote local products and facilitate their commercialization.
In a similar vein, the Support Program for Women’s Craft Enterprises by APEFE assists women-led businesses in Benin, providing training in management, support with equipment and funding, as well as access to fairs and professional events.
For “They Empower Themselves,” L’Envol has set the registration deadline for September 15, 2026, directing candidates to an online form and an information group. The launch of the training is scheduled for September.
