The Beninese Senate has officially constituted its steering committee responsible for conducting its work for the next five years. Following a vote that took place in a calm atmosphere, former President Patrice Talon has been elected to lead the high parliamentary institution, where he will sit alongside Louis Vlavonou and Alassane Seidou.

After the session, Senator Robert Gbian told the press that the members of the upper chamber have agreed to meet again on September 15.
