These operations will cause temporary power interruptions between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in several areas across twelve communes in the country.

Breakdown of affected areas and outage times

  • Cotonou West (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Sonangnon Tokpa, Gbegbanou and Missèbo Tokpa Hoho.
  • Cotonou East (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.): Sènandé, Irédé, Massèvo, Kowégbo and Yénawa.
  • Abomey-Calavi (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): CEG Méridien area, CEG Pahou, Bazounkpa and surrounding areas.
  • Porto-Novo and the Ouémé Valley (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Tanzoun substation, Danto traffic light, Cinquantenaire, Djèvali, Dangbo, Azowlissè, Adjohoun and Bonou.
  • Pobè (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Onigbolo, Iganan, Itadjèbou, Tasso, Agnizè, Adja-Ouèrè, Ouinhi Centre and surrounding areas.
  • Bohicon (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Zakpo, Ahito, Tomadaga, Lissèzoun, Dakpa PTT, Manaboè and other neighbourhoods.
  • Dassa (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Localities of Bantè and Pira.
  • Lokossa (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Gbéhoué, Kpovidji, Adjaha, Hèvè, Haundjonoudji and Matékpo.
  • Dogbo (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Tchiklin, Klouékanmey and Lalo.
  • Ouidah (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Adimalè, Sékou, Dodji Aliho and Dodji Dangban.
  • Parakou (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Banikanni, Titirou, Madina, Oké Dama and Kpèbié.
  • Kandi (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Bodjécali, Madécali and Malanville.
  • Natitingou (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.): Heavy-truck park area and Ouraubouga neighbourhood.

Network upgrades and safety guidance

According to SBEE, the technical work is part of efforts to strengthen infrastructure in order to improve electricity service quality in the medium term.

While apologising for the inconvenience caused to users, the company reminds customers that installations should be considered live throughout the works to prevent any risk of accident.
