UCL: Christophe Dugarry slams Yamal after Barça’s elimination
Very critical after Barcelona’s exit at the hands of Atlético Madrid, Christophe Dugarry pointed to Lamine Yamal’s performance and attitude.

The day after Barcelona’s elimination against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League, Christophe Dugarry was particularly critical of Lamine Yamal. On RMC Sport, the former French international did not mince his words, notably pointing to the attitude of the young Catalan winger: «When you talk a lot, you must make sure the team is able to win. »
Despite an ideal start, marked by a quick goal, Dugarry believes the 18-year-old’s performance remains insufficient over the entire match: «He scored very early. And then?» The former striker goes further in his analysis, questioning Yamal’s overall impact: «He has talent, it’s obvious, but he is still far from being among the best players in the world.» And to conclude, bluntly: «Given his performance, I am not convinced that Barcelona deserved to qualify. He comes across as having an oversized ego.» Harsh remarks that fuel the debate around the young Barcelona prodigy, already in the spotlight despite his young age.
