The Beninese attacking midfielder Junior Olaïtan is continuing his ascent in Turkey. Having arrived in the Turkish league only six months ago, the Beninese international changes clubs but remains in the Süper Lig by signing with Beşiktaş, one of the giants of local football.

After an initial spell with Göztepe, where he played 18 matches in all competitions and scored two goals, the former Ayema FC player convinced the Istanbul club’s management to back him. Beşiktaş announced the signing of Olaïtan for a period of three and a half years, with an additional year as an option.

In his new club, the 22-year-old will wear the number 15 and will try to bring his creativity and his pace to an ambitious squad. Currently fifth in the Süper Lig with 36 points after 20 rounds, Beşiktaş is aiming for a solid end to the season and a European qualification.
