Transfer market: Barça announces the arrivals of two players
Barça continues to manage its young talents by loaning Andrés Cuenca to Sporting Gijón and welcoming Patricio Pacifico to Barça Atlètic until the end of the season.

FC Barcelona formalized on Monday the loan of Andrés Cuenca to Sporting Gijón until the end of the season.
Before his departure, the 19-year-old defender extended his contract with the Catalan club for an additional year. Trained at Sevilla FC, Cuenca made his Barça first-team debut on October 1, 2024, in a Champions League match against Young Boys.
In a separate statement, the Blaugrana club also announced that an agreement had been reached for the loan of Patricio Pacifico, from Defensor Sporting Club, until the end of the current season. The operation includes an option to buy. A versatile player, capable of playing on the defensive flank as well as in a central position, Pacifico will strengthen Barça Atlètic for the second half of the season.
