The Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, alias Davido, has ended the speculation surrounding a teenage girl who was demanding a DNA test to confirm paternity. The singer stated that he had never had any relationship with the girl’s mother and that his only contact with them had occurred in the context of the tests.

In total, five DNA analyses were carried out in different laboratories, three chosen by Davido himself and two by the mother and the teenager. All results unanimously confirmed that he was not the child’s biological father.

The artist described this case as « emotionally taxing » and criticized the mother’s behavior, while taking care not to blame the young girl. « This is the last time I speak on this subject, he concluded, urging that the matter be considered definitively closed.
