University transport is set to resume on September 21, 2026, in Benin, with a fare of 200 FCFA per trip. The system will utilize 63 new buses and serve 12 cities.

The initiative, supported by telecom operators, targets public institutions and restricts free access to platforms validated by the NCC and the Federal Ministry of Education.

The resumption of classes scheduled for September 14 was disrupted in many Federal Unity Colleges. Staff and parents kept institutions closed to demand the withdrawal of the concession granted to King’s College by its alumni association.

The Algerian government is offering Benin 88 study scholarships and two professional master's positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications are open until September 17 at noon.

Benin has launched the national campaign for the free distribution of school kits for the 2026-2027 school year: 145,580 learners are targeted, with an investment of 752,393,674 FCFA.
