Real Madrid: Rodrygo suffers an ACL rupture.
Already reeling from a string of bad luck and an overburdened medical staff, Real Madrid loses Rodrygo for several months after a knee ligament rupture, a major blow in the title race.

Another blow for Real Madrid. Beaten at home by Getafe (0-1) in La Liga, the Merengues sink into a period of worrying turbulence. Beyond the defeat at the Santiago-Bernabéu, what worries most is the state of the squad. Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Eder Militao are still missing, while several stalwarts remain uncertain ahead of the trip to Vigo.
But the real shockwave concerns Rodrygo. Substituted in against Getafe, the Brazilian forward left the pitch diminished. Medical tests have confirmed the worst: rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and injury to the right knee’s lateral meniscus. The Madrid club confirmed the news, effectively sealing the player’s season.
According to the Spanish press, the absence could last up to ten months. An immense blow for Real, already fragile, but also for the Brazilian national team, which will probably have to do without the winger for the 2026 World Cup. As European deadlines approach, the Whites are more than ever hanging by a thread.
