CAN U17 2027 Qualifiers: Benin meets Burkina Faso, Ghana and Togo again

The U17 Cheetahs now know their route. Benin has been placed in Group A of the UFOA-B qualifying tournament for the upcoming Africa U17 Cup of Nations, alongside Burkina Faso, Ghana and Togo. The draw took place on Thursday, September 3, 2026, in Ouagadougou, where the competition will also be held. The four teams in Group A will compete for a spot in the CAN U17 final phase, while Group B will feature Côte d’Ivoire, Niger and Nigeria.

The qualifying tournament is scheduled from October 10 to 23, 2026, in the Burkinabe capital. For the young Cheetahs, this event will be a crucial step in the race to qualify for the next edition of the category’s CAN. The final phase of the Africa U17 Cup of Nations is planned for 2027 in Morocco. Benin will therefore need to be strong against tough opposition in a group where Burkina Faso will enjoy the support of its home crowd.
