Former Gunners-turned Cityzens supporter, Emmanuel Adebayor does not believe for a second that Arsenal will win the title and says that Manchester City’s experience will make the difference in the race to be crowned English champions.

In an interview given to Premier League Productions on the day after the London derby won handily by Arsenal against Tottenham (4-1), Emmanuel Adebayor delivered a definitive forecast: for the former Togolese striker, Manchester City will be crowned English champions.

Despite the Gunners’ display, now five points ahead of the Cityzens in the standings, the former international remains unmoved. His argument? The science of results and the depth of a squad seasoned in decisive battles.

“I looked at the calendars of the two teams. I think City will finish ahead,” he asserted. “I’m betting on experience. Guardiola and his players know how to win this kind of race. And this season, he has again strengthened his squad.”

Before issuing a warning to Mikel Arteta’s men: “Arsenal has shown character, that’s true. But over the last ten matches, will they keep up? I seriously doubt it.” A pointed dig from “Saddle”, who never really moved on from his mixed spell with the Gunners (2006-2009).
