Premier League: Arsenal is preparing a golden contract for Mikel Arteta.
Under contract until 2027, Mikel Arteta is moving closer to an extension with Arsenal. Discussions are progressing positively and could lead to a new three-year deal accompanied by a significant salary increase.

Arsenal is on track to secure Mikel Arteta’s future. As his current contract is set to expire at the end of next season, the London club’s management has begun encouraging discussions with their coach. However, no final agreement is expected to be reached before the Spanish manager returns from vacation. Nevertheless, the initial exchanges between the two parties have reportedly been particularly positive, to the point that the question now seems to be not if Arteta will extend, but when the official announcement will be made.
According to the BBC, the Gunners are working on a new three-year deal with a significant salary increase. Currently earning £10 million per season, plus bonuses tied to Champions League qualification, Arteta could see his earnings rise substantially. This extension would make the Spaniard one of the highest-paid managers in English football, especially since Pep Guardiola recently left Manchester City. The Catalan manager was reported to earn over £20 million per year.
