London: Thomas Partey pleads not guilty to new rape allegations
Summoned to appear before a London court on Monday, Thomas Partey denied new rape allegations. An off-field case with serious consequences, as his club and national team career continues.

The legal case is piling up for Thomas Partey. The Ghanaian midfielder appeared this Monday before a London court, where he again vigorously denied two new rape accusations levelled against him. The 32-year-old former Arsenal player had already denied several charges, including alleged incidents involving different complainants spanning 2021 to 2022. A new proceeding has now been added concerning a fourth person, for alleged acts dating back to late 2020.
During his hearing at Southwark Crown Court, Partey again pleaded not guilty, sticking to his defense against all the charges. The case, particularly sensitive, is expected to be examined more thoroughly at a trial scheduled for November. The alleged facts date back to his Premier League days, after his arrival at Arsenal in 2020 from Atlético Madrid for a transfer fee estimated at €50 million.
Since the end of his contract in London, the Ghanaian has restarted his career with Villarreal CF. With his new colors, he has already logged several appearances in both the league and the Champions League, trying to regain continuity on the pitch. At the international level, the situation remains closely watched. Despite the ongoing proceedings, Partey remains in the Ghana squad for the 2026 World Cup, where the Black Stars will notably face Panama, Croatia and England.
