Land dispute in Benin: Pastor Edgard Guidibi jailed, his wife placed under judicial supervision
Arrested on October 22 in a land-related case, Pastor Edgard Guidibi was placed in detention after being presented, on Tuesday October 28, to the special prosecutor at the Special Court for Land Affairs (CSAF).

After spending a week in custody at the criminal brigade, he was ultimately jailed at the end of his hearing.
According to initial findings of the investigation reported by Le Potentiel, the cleric is accused of taking part in illicit land parcel sales. Several citizens say they were victims of fraudulent transactions on plots located on the outskirts of Cotonou.
His wife, also extensively questioned by the prosecutor as part of the same proceedings, was placed under judicial supervision.
Pastor Edgard Guidibi is no stranger to legal trouble following complaints from dissatisfied clients of Global Services.
