Ghana: M.anifest Celebrates 10 Years of “Nowhere Cool” with a Live Experience

The official event page on Ayatickets specifies that tickets must go on sale on Friday, September 11. The venue has not yet been revealed, a choice that deliberately maintains the mystery surrounding this evening called “The Nowhere Cool @ 10 Live Experience.”

Released on September 8, 2016, under the Singitdamnit Music label, “Nowhere Cool” features 14 tracks. The album blends hip-hop, highlife, and African influences, with collaborations from Worlasi, Cina Soul, Tumi Molekane, Brymo, and Paapa.

An album that has become a benchmark in Ghanaian rap

Upon its release, the project had strengthened M.anifest’s reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in the Ghanaian hip-hop scene. His writing, enriched with social observations and personal stories, is supported by production that blends contemporary rap with local sounds.

The album title refers to the universe of the Ghanaian writer Ama Ata Aidoo, whose work has greatly influenced several generations of creators in the country. Ten years later, M.anifest has therefore chosen to revisit this record not with a simple announced reissue, but with a stage event conceived as a collective celebration.

The organizers indicate that the first registered individuals will be able to receive information about the ticket sale and access a limited number of tickets at a reduced price. The date of the show itself has not yet been publicly announced.
