Davido: “Meeting Chris Brown changed my life”

The “Blow My Mind” singer said his career took a leap forward after meeting Breezy in 2018. Davido shared the story of their first encounter in a recent episode of the Bagfuel Brigade podcast.

“Meeting Chris Brown changed my life. I met him in 2018. He had a Nigerian friend—one of his best friends. One day, a friend FaceTimed me, and my song was playing in the background. I asked him where he was, and he said, ‘I’m at Chris Brown’s house.’ I said, ‘What? You’re listening to my music?’ And he showed me Chris dancing to my song,” the singer recalled.

“He called Chris Brown, and that was our first conversation. A few months later, I went to the U.S. and met up with Chris. From that first meeting, we became friends naturally,” he added.

Since then, the two stars have collaborated on several tracks together.
