Since his marriage to Chioma Adeleke, Davido has favored quiet evenings and family moments over the frenzied nightlife, revealing a new facet of his life away from the spotlight.

The Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, revealed that his priorities have evolved deeply since his marriage to his longtime partner Chioma Adeleke. Guest on the The Long Form podcast, the artist explained that he has abandoned nightlife in favor of calmer moments centered on his family. Now, when he travels, Davido prefers to stay at home or chat with his wife on FaceTime, rather than going out to a nightclub.

Having had early access to freedom, power and money, I was reckless for a long time. I used to go out almost every day,” he admitted. A time he now considers over. “These days, I don’t even go to clubs anymore. I’ve spent nearly two months in Nigeria without going out. I stayed at home, relaxed in my studio, I invited friends over for a barbecue. Time flew by, and before I knew it, it was 3:30 or 4:30 in the morning. I would go back home, call my wife, and fall asleep on FaceTime,” he recounted.

However, Davido clarified that he continues to honor his professional commitments, notably his concerts and some private invitations from close friends and family. The artist now says he prioritizes rest, stability, and moments spent with family, far from the bustle of his early days.
