Chelsea: Eden Hazard tempers the Blues’ ambitions in the Premier League
Sixth in the Premier League after four matchdays, Chelsea has high ambitions this season under the management of Xabi Alonso. However, Eden Hazard believes that the pursuit of the English title is proving to be particularly challenging.

Eden Hazard is keeping a close eye on the performances of his former club. While Chelsea currently sits in sixth place in the Premier League with seven points, the former Belgian international shared his analysis of the Blues’ ambitions this season. Invited on Sky Sports ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Brentford on Friday, the former London winger acknowledged that the title race is proving to be particularly challenging. “The Premier League is fiercely competitive, and winning the title is far from easy,” Hazard explained.
Despite this warning, the Belgian hopes to see Xabi Alonso’s men involved in the fight for the top positions. He believes that the Spanish coach has the necessary tools to help the London club progress in the standings. “But as I just said, we hope that the team [Chelsea] will reach the top. The Premier League title is extremely difficult to win ,” he continued.
Hazard also emphasizes the quality of the squad available to the Spanish coach. “ However, they have an excellent coach, exceptional players, and a solid squad base, so let’s wait and see ,” he concluded. With seven points earned from their first four outings, Chelsea will now need to confirm their ambitions on the pitch to hope to establish themselves among the contenders for the top spots.
