Victor Osimhen aims to reassure ahead of Galatasaray’s European clash with Juventus. The Nigerian international had to withdraw from the last Süper Lig match against Konyaspor due to knee discomfort. A precautionary absence decided by the medical staff of the team led by Okan Buruk.
Having stayed in the gym on Sunday, the forward resumed full training at the start of the week and is now in the squad called up for the UEFA Champions League playoff second leg. Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Osimhen was confident: « My knee is fine, thank you. I felt a little pain, that’s why I didn’t play the last league match. But thanks to the work of the medical staff, I’m back with the squad and I can’t wait to face Juve. » A timely return for Galatasaray, who will rely on the power and efficiency of their centre-forward to secure qualification.
