Champions League: the standings after matchday 3
Paris Saint-Germain took sole command of the Champions League standings after a spectacular 7-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday evening at the Parc des Princes.

The reigning European champions thus continue their perfect start to the season, claiming a third win in as many matches. Behind PSG, other clubs also with flawless records follow: Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Real Madrid complete the top six.
The top eight places, which mean automatic qualification for the round of 16, are currently occupied by Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Newcastle United. A little further down the table, FC Barcelona sits in ninth place, ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea, in tenth and eleventh respectively. At the bottom of the table, Olympiacos, Kairat Almaty, Benfica and Ajax Amsterdam bring up the rear.
