Before this trip to Leverkusen’s pitch, the London club was nonetheless considered by several observers as the number-one candidate for the continental crown. But this result has slightly reshuffled the cards in the hierarchy of contenders.

In this new context, Bayern Munich now appears as the main threat to the European title.
