CAN 2027 Qualifiers: Yalcouyé leads Ivory Coast to 2-0 victory over Ghana

The Brighton player opened the scoring with a left-footed shot from outside the box just one minute before halftime. Captain Franck Kessié doubled the lead with a penalty in the 58th minute.

Ivory Coast had to reorganize their defense ahead of the match following the withdrawal of Odilon Kossounou. Ghana, on the other hand, was missing key players including Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo.

This Group C match also marked the return of Hervé Renard to the Ivorian bench, 11 years after his triumph at CAN 2015 with the Elephants.
