Cameroon: call for massive mobilization of the RDPC in Yaoundé for the return of Paul Biya
The president of the RDPC Mfoundi I section and mayor of the Yaoundé 1st district, Jean-Marie Abouna, has issued a statement inviting party members from his political constituency to gather this Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 2 PM on the esplanade of the Palace of Unity.

This mobilization follows the return to the country of the Head of State, Paul Biya, national president of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (RDPC), and his wife Chantal Biya, after a private stay in Europe.
Through this gathering, the local leader of the ruling party aims to extend a warm welcome to the presidential couple and to mark the commitment of the grassroots members toward the Head of State.
Order and strict discipline
In his official note, Jean-Marie Abouna emphasizes the structured nature of this gathering, calling on supporters to express their enthusiasm in order and discipline.
For the RDPC Mfoundi I section, this massive presence at the presidential courtyard aims to reaffirm the loyalty of the members to Paul Biya and to renew their political commitment by his side.
