Brazil: “I’m upset, sad,” Neymar reacts to not being called up
Not called up by Carlo Ancelotti for the friendlies against France and Croatia, Neymar expressed his sadness while signaling his determination to rejoin Brazil’s national team.

The Santos FC forward Neymar expressed his disappointment after not being selected by Carlo Ancelotti for Brazil’s upcoming friendly matches against France and Croatia, scheduled later this month. The Italian coach had revealed his list on Monday without including the former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain player. A decision he defended, justified by a state of form still deemed insufficient to compete at the highest international level.
Present in São Paulo at a media event, Neymar did not hide his frustration at this decision. “I am disappointed, sad not to have been selected. But I remain focused day after day, training after training, match after match,” he conceded.
Despite this setback, the Brazilian international is clearly focused on the future. “We will reach our objective. There remains one last call-up, and the dream continues. We are all in the same boat”, he added, determined to quickly regain his place within the Brazil national team.
