After the performance of the national anthem, L’Aube nouvelle, the President of the Parliament addressed the parliamentary staff in a speech focused on the continuity of public service and the maintenance of professional discipline inherited from the previous term.
Joseph Fifamè Djogbénou reminded that, despite the leadership change at the Assembly, the State and the parliamentary administration must not experience any break in their fundamental missions.
“One might think this is a new day. But the State is a continuity. And the parliamentary administration is a continuity as well,” the president said, underscoring the need for staff to ensure rigor, commitment, and devotion to public service in the new institutional cycle.
In his message, Joseph Fifamè Djogbénou also stressed respect for the public good and professional standards, calling on the agents to maintain the discipline that had marked the support for the work of his predecessor, Louis Gbèhounou Vlavonou.
He described the flag-raising ceremony as a manifestation of republican solemnity, conducive to reflection on civic duty and national unity.
The President of the National Assembly concluded by expressing gratitude to those who helped organize the election of the parliamentary bureau and by offering wishes of health and longevity to the staff, so that everyone can accompany the legislature throughout its duration.
