The incident occurred around one o’clock in the morning, plunging a family and the entire neighborhood into shock. According to information gathered, individuals reportedly broke into a dwelling at night. Gunshots were heard during the intrusion, turning what seemed to be a simple burglary into a deadly tragedy.
After their intrusion, the burglars opened fire, mortally wounding the woman of the house and her son, who died from the gunfire.
After committing the crime, the criminals disappeared into the night. Alerted, officers from the local police station went to the scene for the usual checks.
According to a local radio, two suspects were arrested and a police investigation opened to shed light on this tragedy.
The head of the Djalloukou district said that the victim’s husband would have been the main target of the attack, but he was not beside his wife at the time of the incident.
The local authorities urge residents to be vigilant and to cooperate with security forces by promptly reporting any movement of a suspicious person.
