Courted by several national teams, Antoine Semenyo says that representing Ghana has become an obvious choice in his international career.
The Manchester City forward, Antoine Semenyo, has revisited his decision to represent Ghana on the international stage, a decision he describes as “natural.” At 26 years old, the player nonetheless had several options, including England and France. But when it came time to decide, his choice came without hesitation.

In an interview given to the podcast The Mixer, Semenyo explained that he had never really considered another national team: « I was 20 or 21 years old when Ghana contacted me. The possibility of joining the first team made the decision very simple. » Ghanaian international since 2022, he says that the debate has never been a dilemma: « It wasn’t a difficult decision. I wasn’t in England’s priority plans either. » A choice he has embraced, which today allows him to fully align with the Black Stars’ project.
