Benfica’s coach, José Mourinho, has raised his voice regarding Gianluca Prestianni, who is targeted by accusations of racist insults toward Vinicius Jr during a Champions League match. The Portuguese coach warned that the young player’s career at the club would be ‘over’ if the facts were proven.

The alleged incidents are said to have occurred on February 17 in Lisbon, during the first leg of the round of 16 against Real Madrid. Vinicius claimed that the 20-year-old attacking midfielder directed racist remarks at him. Prestianni categorically denied these accusations. Despite his denials, UEFA decided to suspend him for the return match in Spain, while the disciplinary investigation continues.
