Suffering a serious knee injury, Nigerian international Victor Boniface will undergo surgery and will miss the entirety of the remainder of the 2025-2026 Bundesliga season.
Werder Bremen formalized this Saturday the knee operation to which Victor Boniface will be subjected, after being injured in the last match, according to information reported by the Daily Post. A surgical procedure that prematurely ends the 2025-2026 season for the Nigerian international.
On loan from Bayer Leverkusen, another Bundesliga club, the 25-year-old striker will remain contractually tied to Werder until the end of the current season, despite this long absence. Out of action since December, Boniface will have played 11 league matches for the Werder colors, with a record of two assists.
