Warning: The revenue manager arrested on suspicions of financial misconduct.
The revenue manager of the municipality of Savè was placed under deposit warrant on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, following his presentation to the prosecutor of the Republic at the Court of First Instance of Abomey.

According to information released by Le Potentiel, the municipal officer was first apprehended on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, and then held in police custody at the Savè police station. He was subsequently transferred to the Abomey prosecutor’s office to respond to the charges against him.
The accused is suspected of financial misconduct involving an estimated amount of nearly two million (2,000,000) CFA francs in the management of the municipality’s revenue.
At the end of his hearing, the magistrate ordered his provisional detention. Judicial investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of these irregularities and to establish all responsibilities.
