University scholarships: the process is now fully online.
Students enrolled in public higher education in Benin are now required to submit their scholarship applications exclusively online.

Students enrolled in public higher education in Benin are now required to submit their scholarship applications exclusively online.
The system, fully digital, is accessible via the official platform of the Ministry of Higher Education.
To begin the process, each applicant must meet several prerequisites. They must have a Personal Identification Certificate issued by the National Agency for the Identification of Persons, be regularly enrolled at the university with a validated pre-registration form, and possess a bank account opened at an approved institution, accompanied by a 24-character bank identification statement.
The first step is to create a personal space on the ministry’s site at the address bourses.enseignementsuperieur.bj. After selecting the registration option, the student fills out the form provided for this purpose. The credentials generated during this operation must be kept, as they will allow future access to the account.
Once logged in, the applicant accesses the online application section. They are then invited to provide the required academic, personal, and banking information, and to verify the accuracy of the data before final validation.
The procedure also includes electronic payment of the application processing fees. Upon completion, the application form can be downloaded and kept for printing.
For any technical difficulties or requests for assistance, students may contact the Secretariat of the Directorate of Scholarships and University Aid by email at [email protected].
Through this digitization of the process, the authorities aim to simplify administrative procedures, reduce processing times, and strengthen transparency in the allocation of university scholarships.
