University Orientation in Benin: Imminent Deadline for Non-Scholarship High School Graduates to Choose Fields on Apresmonbac Platform

.According to an official statement from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, candidates have until Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:59 pm to submit their academic preferences on the dedicated national portal.

​This step marks the completion of the orientation schedule for the classic fields for the 2026 cohort. The ministerial procedure was divided into two phases: the first phase, reserved for scholarship holders, took place from August 14 to 24, 2026, followed by the current session that opened on September 11 for non-scholarship candidates.

Latecomers thus have the final hours of the day to formalize their training choices on the online platform (apresmonbac.bj), which is essential for processing their ranking and admission to public faculties and universities.

​To optimize these decisions, the ministerial authorities have encouraged prospective students to rely on the orientation guide distributed during the awareness campaign from August 3 to 7, ensuring a better alignment between the chosen fields and personal educational projects.

​Specific schedule deferred for technical and professional high school graduates

​This midnight deadline on September 22 does not apply to all graduates. Holders of technical baccalaureates and equivalent professional diplomas, including the Tropical Agricultural Studies Diploma (DEAT) and the Technician Diploma (DT) from the 2026 session, will have a separate registration window. Their registration campaign on the platform will open on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 12:00 am and will remain accessible until Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 11:59 pm.

Non-scholarship high school graduates, on the other hand, remain subject to the midnight deadline set for this Tuesday.
