Tragedy in Pèrèrè: a man found hanged in a teak plantation

A tragedy occurred on the morning of Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in Pèrèrè. A man identified as Kpakidanrou Worou was found hanged in a teak field located near the Bawèra public primary school.
According to information reported by SAKA Yérima FM, the victim is said to be in his fifties,
Alerted by local residents, officers of the Republican Police went to the scene, accompanied by local authorities and health personnel. After the usual checks, the victim’s body was handed over to the family for burial, in accordance with current procedures.
The exact circumstances of this tragedy remain unknown for now. An investigation has been opened to determine the causes and motivations behind this tragic act.
Deeply affected, the people of Pèrèrè remain in shock over this new tragedy that has plunged the municipality into mourning.
