Togo: 28 Members in the First Government of the Fifth Republic
Awaited for 5 months and 3 days, the first government of the Fifth Republic was finally published on October 8, by decree signed by President of the Council Faure E. Gnassingbé.

The Secretary-General of the government, Stanislas Baba, announced the composition of the new government on Wednesday evening. A team led by the President of the Council, Faure Gnassingbé.
The new government team stands out for the majority presence of ministers already in office for several years, leaving little room for renewal. Two portfolios are now attached to the Presidency of the Republic, while the presidency of the National Assembly will need to be entrusted to a new figure in the coming days, following Kodjo Adedze’s return to government.
