The president of Al-Nassr, Abdullah Al-Majed, sought to clear up any ambiguity about Cristiano Ronaldo’s status within the Saudi club, stating that the Portuguese star does not own any stake in the club. Having arrived in Saudi Arabia in January 2023 after leaving Manchester United, the five-time Ballon d’Or has been one of the main catalysts of the Saudi Pro League’s media rise. In his wake, several major global football figures, including Neymar Jr., Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kanté, have joined the league, helping to strengthen its attractiveness.

In an interview relayed by Sportskeeda, Abdullah Al-Majed praised Ronaldo’s considerable influence, well beyond the pitch. “He has helped convince many players”, he stressed, before clearly clarifying: “Ronaldo does not own any stake in the club, and this concerns him as much as the owners.” On the sporting front, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to post impressive statistics in Al-Nassr’s jersey, with 110 goals and 22 assists in 126 matches across all competitions.
