SICA Festival 2026: Foudis Diallo to represent Guinea in Cotonou
The stage of the SICA Festival 2026 will welcome a new Guinean voice in Cotonou. Foudis Diallo is announced among the competing artists in the “Afro Ethnic Music” category, with the ambition to carry the colors of Guinea during this edition held in Benin.

The announcement was relayed on 8 and 9 September by several Guinean media outlets, including Fameen News and Mediaguinee. Both report that the singer, nicknamed the “Queen of Pastoral Blues,” has been selected to represent her country in this category dedicated to modern music nourished by African traditions.
nnThe schedule is confirmed by the SICA Festival organization. The 20th edition will take place from 9 to 15 November 2026 in Cotonou, under the theme “Heritage & Innovation.” The program includes live concerts, a fashion show, conferences, master classes, and a gala evening dedicated to awards.
nnThis year, the festival notably highlights two major musical universes: Afro Ethnic Music and Urban Music. The first category showcases contemporary creations that extend rhythms, instruments, or traditional African heritage.
Foudis Diallo thus arrives in Cotonou with a repertoire described as deeply rooted in Guinean pastoral sounds. Her participation will provide a platform before artists and professionals from several African countries, in an edition announcing 21 invited countries.
nnIn Benin, the event also marks the return of the SICA Festival to its birthplace city after several itinerant editions. The competition is scheduled from 9 to 15 November 2026 at the C.N.O.A in Cotonou.
