Serge Beynaud named best Francophone artist 2025-2026 by Kèwalé People
Serge Beynaud adds another accolade to his collection. The Ivorian singer and arranger has been voted “Best Francophone Artist of the Year” for the 2025-2026 period by Kèwalé People, following a vote that included a jury of African journalists and the magazine’s readers.
The award is part of the 10th edition of the Kèwalé Pan African Awards, which will take place in Bamako from September 11 to 13, 2026. The trophy presentation ceremony is set to be held at the International Conference Center in Bamako, where several prominent figures from the continent are expected to attend.
For Serge Beynaud, this recognition honors a career that continues to have a significant impact on Francophone urban music. The Ivorian artist remains a key figure in coupé-décalé and afropop, consistently appearing in charts and on African stages.
Kèwalé People highlighted his artistic consistency, his work as an arranger, and his role in nurturing young talent through Star Factory Music. The award covers the period 2025-2026.
