Senegal: Monday declared a paid holiday to celebrate the crowning of the Lions of Teranga.

The Senegalese president, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, declared “paid holiday” on Monday to celebrate the Teranga Lions’ crowning, CAN 2025 champions after their 1-0 victory over Morocco on Sunday night.

As the Teranga Lions’ leading supporter, Bassirou Diomaye Faye also celebrated the crowning of his ambassadors, winners of their second Africa Cup of Nations title after their victory over Morocco in the CAN 2025 final.
