Security in Godomey: stolen goods recovered, several arrests

In the context of fighting against insecurity, the Republican Police forces conducted a large-scale operation in the district of Godomey, Abomey-Calavi municipality, from June 9 to 15, 2025.
According to the information reported by Peace FM, this targeted operation led to the seizure of several stolen items, notably three flat-screen TVs, a generator, a motorcycle suspected of being used in a robbery, and a significant amount of psychotropic tablets.
In parallel, fifteen motorcycles were impounded. Three of them had been reported stolen, six are of undetermined origin, while the other six were found circulating without any justifying documents at the time of the check.
More than thirty people were apprehended, several of whom are suspected of involvement in armed robbery and motorcycle theft. The accused will be presented to the competent judicial authorities for further proceedings.
The Republican Police announce the continuation of operations to ensure better security in this peripheral area of the economic capital.
