Mohamed Salah continues to write his legend in England. Liverpool’s Egyptian winger matched the record of former Chelsea icon Frank Lampard with 279 goal contributions (goals and assists) in the Premier League. The Red reached that milestone thanks to his goal in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
With 190 goals and 89 assists, Salah now sits third on the all-time list of players most involved in goals in the English top flight, level with Lampard (177 goals, 102 assists).
Only two English football greats remain ahead of him: Wayne Rooney (311) and Alan Shearer (324). The former Manchester United captain and the Newcastle legend are the only players to have passed the 300-contribution mark. Behind them, Ryan Giggs completes the top five with 271 goal contributions (109 goals, 162 assists).
