Just a few seconds of music and a date: Rema has chosen simplicity to kick off his next release. The Nigerian singer is preparing “Oh No,” a new single set for release on Friday 11 September 2026.

The announcement came directly from the singer’s official X account this Wednesday 9 September. In a short video clip, Rema is seen sitting in a red car while a snippet of the track plays in the background. The message accompanying the excerpt is brief: “Oh No” and a Friday release.
The teaser was quickly picked up by several accounts dedicated to Nigerian music news and Afrobeats releases. Tori Nigeria reports notably that early fan reactions focus on the chorus and the soundscape linked to the artist’s Afrorave style.
This new release comes as every Rema publication continues to resonate strongly beyond Nigeria. The singer has established himself among the most visible figures of Afrobeats internationally, notably thanks to the global success of ” Calm Down” ».
In Benin, where major Nigerian releases circulate widely on platforms and social networks, “Oh No” is expected to naturally attract the attention of Afrobeats enthusiasts.
