Real Madrid: good news for Rodrygo
After several months of stoppage, Rodrygo Goes has reached an important milestone in his long rehabilitation at Real Madrid. The Brazilian forward has resumed running at Valdebebas and is gradually approaching a return to competition, hoped for in January 2027.

Rodrygo Goes finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Six months after a serious injury to his right knee, the Brazilian forward took his first steps on the pitch at Real Madrid’s training center in Valdebebas. The 25-year-old player shared images of this particularly symbolic session on his social networks. He is seen doing some light running, an encouraging sign after several months dedicated to treatment and rehabilitation. ” What a great feeling to be able to run on the field again! We keep going! ” rejoiced the Brazilian international.
Rodrygo was injured on March 3 during the match against Getafe. Having come on at the Santiago Bernabéu, he suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and a lesion of the external meniscus of his right knee. Surgery was necessary a few days later. Since then, the Madrid player has been following an individualized recovery program with the goal of gradually regaining his sensations and physical condition.
While this resumption of running is an important step, Rodrygo still has several stages to pass before returning to group training. Real Madrid nevertheless hopes to have their forward back during January 2027, provided the rest of his rehabilitation goes as planned.
