Presidency of the Republic: Romuald Wadagni appointed Maximilien Claude Cocou Olympio Coordinator of the Legal Cell
By decree No. 2026–321 dated May 26, 2026, the President of the Republic has appointed Maximilien Claude Cocou Olympio as the Coordinator of the Legal Cell, Legal Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic.

This appointment is part of the effort to structure and strengthen the institutional framework of the Presidency. In this strategic position, Maximilien Claude Cocou Olympio will be responsible for ensuring the coordination of legal opinions, monitoring the legal compliance of presidential acts, and providing legal assistance to the Head of State in the exercise of his constitutional prerogatives.
The Legal Cell plays a central role in the normative security of public action, particularly concerning decrees, institutional reforms, and relations between public authorities.
The decree specifies that the appointment takes effect from the date of its signing.
