Liverpool has ruled out any idea of parting ways with manager Arne Slot before the end of the season. The Dutch coach is going through a delicate period after the heavy 1-4 defeat to PSV Eindhoven at Anfield in the Champions League, a setback that adds to a bad run.
With nine defeats in their last twelve matches in all competitions, Slot’s men are in the middle of a results crisis. Despite this worrying trend, according to the Daily Mail Sport, Liverpool’s board continues to back their manager, who will remain on the bench on Sunday for the home game against West Ham in the Premier League.
The club will give him the time needed to try to reverse the trend sustainably. Slot, it should be recalled, delivered an English title to Liverpool in his very first season, succeeding Jürgen Klopp.
